French Pen Pal Competition
Student compete in a French Pen Pal Competition with partner school.
Ms D Fodvo’s, Year 7 and Year 9 French classes entered a French Pen Pal competition with our partner school, Academic School of Excellence (ASOE) in Cameroon. An amazing array of French writing skills were presented, showcasing outstanding learning and increasing student’ cultural capital. Exchanging these notes with Mr Manfred’s students at the ASOE has given both schools a great opportunity to exchange experiences and learn from each other. Selecting overall winners was difficult, so, we have 8 winners from all the entries at Jack Hunt Students (JHS) as follows:
Laura Dirziute 7ECEN
Elija Urbunaviciute 7ESHN
Raneem Hamad 7MMY
Patrick Timinskas 7KCRS
Amanda Joseph 7KCLW
Surya Carvalho 7CMJE
Samuel Parker 9BHIZ
Saif Ahmed 9CSCD
And the following from the ASOE:
Lynda Agisha Chiragane
Pondi Eve
Serena Tafen
Daugther of Clementine Kouamedjo
Mfouapon Michele Chloé
With Samuel Parker taking first place, Laura Dirziute taking second place, and Elija Urbunaviciute coming in at third.
A humongous well done to all students at JHS and the ASOE who took part and to Ms Hussain for arranging this project, and to Ms Fodvo and Mr Manfred for running this and providing feedback to students.
We look forward to developing this project further with Mr Manfred and the ASOE.
