FEEDBACK FROM PARENTS SURVEY
Recent Parental Survey
A big thank you to all of you who filled in our recent parental survey. Overall, the results were really pleasing and in every area we were above the national average for positive responses.
Parents expressed an appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the school staff. Several common themes emerged, including:
Support and Encouragement: Many parents recognise the significant role teachers play in nurturing students and providing them with the support they need to succeed. Positive comments emphasize the encouragement students receive in their extracurricular activities, such as sports and academic clubs, as well as the personalized attention some children have received.
Engagement and Improvement: Several parents noted that their children have become more engaged in their education, with many expressing their child's newfound interest in subjects. This improvement has contributed to increased confidence and happiness, particularly for students who previously struggled in school.
Achievement and Recognition: The achievement points system was particularly appreciated, with parents noting that specific comments attached to the points provide valuable insight into their child's progress. Many expressed gratitude for the school’s efforts in motivating students and celebrating their successes.
Teacher Understanding and Compassion: A strong theme in the positive feedback is the recognition of teachers' understanding of their students' individual needs. Parents expressed admiration for teachers who go above and beyond, with one parent specifically mentioning the positive influence of the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support team and an enthusiastic English teacher.
Of course there were areas highlighted for the school to be better at (we agree) and they include:
-
Even clearer communication
-
Receiving even more information on how to support your child
-
More opportunities to come into school for face-to-face interactions
We will be working hard to improve in these areas.
Working in partnership with you is vital if we are going to support your child in the best ways possible. Receiving feedback from parents is very much part of this partnership and we look forward to receiving your survey response later this year
