Year 8 boys football team competed in the Nene Park football tournament on the 4^th May. The group worked extremely hard and well as a team throughout the tournament and represented Jack Hunt School brilliantly. An excitable group of lads kicked off their first group game against Arthur Mellows with a 2-0 win, with Bradley and Riley the goalscorers.

In their second game they drew 0-0 with Ken Stimpson in a tight encounter. In their final group game we managed a 1-0 win over Sir Harry Smith, with Riley scoring our goal. After 3 matches the team was group winners with 7 points.

Jack Hunt progressed into a group of the 4 best teams of the 12 who entered. Jack Hunt played a semi final game against St John Fisher which was a shorted game, and we drew 0-0. After the semi final this placed Jack Hunt in the top 2, but unfortunately the team didn't get the chance to play Nene Park for the final.  Jack Hunt finished the tournament in second place which was a fantastic achievement for the Year 8 boys team.
