“When there are footsteps on the moon”

As the GCSE examinations come to an end, Jack Hunt enjoyed celebrating with our Year 11s after 5 years together. With a range of student performances, films starring teachers and our very own Staff Carpool Karaoke, students were given a lively send off. To cap it all, the Staff Choir were rewarded with a standing ovation for their version of Coldplay’s ‘Sky Full of Stars’ and students were rewarded with prizes for their hard work in the annual ‘Effort Raffle’.
This year was particularly special as newly elected MP for Peterborough, Fiona Onasanya, joined us to remind students that anything was possible in life “when there are footsteps on the moon” and to always strive to achieve the best for themselves and others, whatever path through life they chose.
Traditional shirt signing followed and every Year 11 was given a Yearbook full of photographs and mementoes of their time at Jack Hunt. As Mrs Simpson-Holley, Deputy Headteacher, said, “This has been one of the friendliest, nicest year groups we have had at Jack Hunt and we wish them all every happiness in whatever they do next. We are going to miss them!”
