Einstein House Background

Einstein House is named after Albert Einstein, a theoretical physicist who is widely regarded as one of the most influential scientists of all time.  Einstein is best known for his theories of relativity and in 1921 he received the Nobel Prize in Physics.

Einstein published more than 300 scientific and over 150 non-scientific works and he is often regarded as the father of modern physics.

House Ethos and Motto

My name is Richard Blant and as well as being Head of House, I am also a History Teacher.  Einstein House has high expectations of all students and helps them to develop to their potential through support and guidance from a dedicated team of Personal Tutors, Student Support Officer, Head of House and Assistant Headteacher.

We believe that Every Child Matters and uphold the principles of this initiative. We also believe that a shared vision for the House (between staff and students) is the way forward so a regular consultative process is on-going. We pride ourselves in a restorative, consistent approach – all Personal Tutors share the Churchillian ideal ‘to jaw-jaw is better than war-war’ and conflict is best resolved in a positive way which teaches young people better ways of dealing with situations which arise in their lives.

Above all, we believe strongly in the House motto: “RESPECT!” Respect should be between students as well as between staff and students. Self-respect and the willingness to strive for excellence always.

Respect is at the core of everything we achieve in the House.
