Attendance 

We reward good attendance.

•Half termly prize draws for each year group

•An entry received for each 2 weeks with 100% attendance and no lates

•6 weeks, 100% attendance and no lates = 3 entries into the half termly draw so a better chance to win!


Tutor time structure

  • Assembly – SLT or HoY with a key theme every week
  • Behaviour Curriculum  - Votes for Schools and more Debates
  • Behaviour Curriculum Reading
  • Silent Study/Silent Reading
  • Quiz or a Teambuilding Challenge

 


hOMEWORK

There to support learning. All set on Edulink. Each subject has a set day for setting and handing in:

English- Thursday

Maths- Wednesday

Science- Friday

Core subjects- day given by option teacher

  • Completed homework = 1 point (Integrity)
  • High effort homework = 2 point (Hard Work)
  • Exceptional homework = 5 points
  • Incompleted homework = -1 point and email home
  • Persistent missed homework = afterschool detentions (set by Mrs Ward/ Mr Ahmed
  • Students are expected to keep on top of their homework, to submit it on time and to meet the teacher’s expectations. Silent study time in form time to aid completion of homework and for tutors to support and monitor. Detentions issued by year team for persistent offenders every half term

You can earn Achievement Points through Hard Work, Integrity and Kindness

Bronze – 150 Total Achievement Points

Silver – 250 Total Achievement Points

Gold – 400 Total Achievement Points

Platinum – Total 600 Achievement Points

Facebook/Snapchat/Instagram/X/Tiktok Stipulate that no child under the age of 13 should have an account with them - and for Whatsapp the age is 16.

  • Students should never accept a friend request/join a conversation from someone they do not know or someone that they do not consider a friend
  • Students should never become party to the spreading of images/videos or slander
  • Students should never take photos or film other students or staff and put them on social media
  • Please understand - when something is posted on social media, regardless of how short a time, it is there for all to see and access 

Look to control your child's access and use of social media when at home -establishing clear boundaries of usage


being A successful year 10

What do the students need to have a successful year?

•Sleep (over 9 hours)

•Water (a bottle every day)

•A healthy breakfast and Lunch

•Guidance on phone usage and evening norms

•Prepare bag/uniform the night before. Ensuring Ipad is charged!

• Begin to identify revision strategies and re read over lesson notes

•To tell us when something isn’t right

•Screenshot rather than reply

•Report don’t react!

•Label your Children’s clothing particularly Tie, Blazer and PE top.
